Long Range Tactical Rifle Match Course of Fire #3

**NOTE: No artificial rear support allowed for this COF. Shooting glove and sling is OK.**

Stage 1 - Cold Bore Shot

  • Round Count: 2 Maximum
  • Range: 200 yards
  • Point Value: 40 points for a 1st round hit and 20 points for a 2nd round hit
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 30 seconds firing time

COF Description: Shooters will have 1 minute to ready their rifles to fire their Cold Bore Shot. Once targets appear shooters will have 30 seconds to fire 2 rounds maximum at the CBS target. If a competitor hits on the 1st round he or she will not have to fire a 2nd round. After the first shot targets will be pulled and marked. If you see a white spotter come up that indicates a hit. If a black spotter comes up or no spotter that indicates a miss and you may shoot a 2nd round.

Stage 2 - 200 yards

  • Range: 200 yards
  • Point Value: 30 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 1 minute firing time

COF Description: Shooter will have 1 minute to ready their rifles to fire the course of fire. Magazines may be loaded but chambers must be kept empty. Once targets appear shooters will have 1 minute to fire 3 rounds to center mass of their B-27 target. Competitors will be positioned on the front side of the 200 yard firing line slope.

Stage 3 - 300 yard MOA Target

  • Round Count: 3
  • Range: 300 yards
  • Point Value: 30 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 1 minute firing time

COF Description: Shooters will engage the head portion of their B-27 target only. Magazines may be loaded but chambers must be kept empty. Once target appears shooter will have 1 minute to fire 3 rounds to a MOA size target. Scoring will be hit or miss.

Stage 4 - 300 yards

  • Round Count: 3
  • Range: 300 yards
  • Point Value: 30 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 1 minute firing time

COF Description: Shooters will have 1 minute to ready their rifles to fire the course of fire. Once targets appear shooters will have 1 minute to fire 3 rounds to center mass of their B-27 target. Competitors will be positioned on the back side of the 300 yard firing line slope. Only sling support is OK. Arms and elbows may be on top of the firing line but the competitor's waist must be below the top of the firing line.

Stage 5 - 500 yard Head Shots

  • Round Count: 3
  • Range: 500 yards
  • Point Value: 30 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 1 minute firing time

COF Description: Shooters will engage the head portion of their B-27 target only. A hit is one that strikes the head regions of the B-27 target. A miss is one that does not strike the head region of the B-27 target. Hits are 10 points and misses are zero points.

Stage 6 - 500 yard Timed Exposure

  • Round Count: 3
  • Range: 500 yards
  • Point Value: 60 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 5 minutes firing time

COF Description: Shooters will have 5 minutes of live fire time. Shooters will be allowed to chamber rounds during prep time. During the 5 minute live fire time the targets will be raised and lowered three times at random intervals during the 2 minutes. Targets will only be exposed for 6 second intervals each time. Shooters may only fire ONLY 2 ROUNDS per 6 second interval. Targets will not be marked between exposures.

Stage 7 - 600 yards Head Shots

Once targets appear shooters will have 3 minutes to fire 6 rounds to the X ring of their B-27 target. Targets will be pulled and marked after each shot.

Stage 11 - 1000 yard Prone

  • Round Count: 9
  • Range: 1000 yards
  • Point Value: 30 points possible
  • Time Lime: 1 minute prep, 6 minutes firing time

COF Description: Shooters will have 1 minute to ready their rifles to fire the course of fire. Magazines may be loaded but chambers must be kept empty. Once targets appear shooters will have 6 minutes to fire 9 rounds to the X ring of their B-27 target. Targets will be pulled and marked after each shot.
