22 Centerfire Rifle Metallic Silhouette is a monthly rifle match at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. Competitors shoot 22-caliber centerfire rifles at metallic silhouette targets, and the targets vary in both size and distance, so each one takes a different solution.
Matches are shot from the bench and from prone. The bench gives the rifle a stable rest and rewards precise, consistent shooting. Prone puts more of the work back on the shooter’s own position and fundamentals.
The club’s purpose is to promote safe and challenging marksmanship at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center.
When: Once a month, on the 2nd Saturday
Where: Range 6, Sacramento Valley Shooting Center
