Action Pistol Range Orientation Re-Certification

Due to safety issues at the Action Pistol Range (APR) in the past, updated APR rules and a TEST is now required to be able to use the APR. FSC members/guests who have been certified in the past will have to re-certify within one year, starting Saturday, May 4, 2013.

It is advisable to get re-certified early rather than waiting, due to the fact the Action Pistol Orientation classes (APR-O) may get jammed up and restricted later in that year. If you don’t get re-certified within that year, you will loose the APR use privilege. If you do not pass the test, your APR privilege will be suspended until you retake and pass the test at a later class of your choice within that year period.

The re-certification is a test only without repeating the pistol shooting Course of Fire (CoF) portion. New members will have to pass the test before shooting the Course of Fire (CoF) requirement.

The first Action Pistol Orientation (APR-O) class will be conducted on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Range 2, Bay 7 at 0900 SHARP. Sign the release/waiver and pay at the Range Office by 0845. All APR-O classes will be on the first and third Saturdays of the month at 0900.

NOTE: All approved FSC member USPSA Range Officers (RO) and IDPA Safety Officers (SO) are exempt from re-certifying (they are the instructors).
