Armed Women of America

About

Armed Women of America (AWA) exists to enable women to be their own self protectors, creating freedom, peace of mind and confidence in themselves. The Sacramento Chapter takes great pride in our work with our members. Our members come to us for many reasons and from all ages and walks of life.

We work with ladies of all skill levels and provide a safe comfortable learning environment. Our training with our members ranges from information for novices about firearms, the ‘how to’ of shooting, the mindset for using a firearm in self-defense, gun cleaning, the use of force continuum, and so much more. We do a lot of work with mastering a handgun through repetitive practice using dry fire, as well as live fire. Both classroom and range trainings are important to a well-rounded approach to the use of a firearm and other tools for self-defense.

We meet at a classroom in Christ Community Church in Carmichael on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 6-7pm. We meet for our range time at Sacramento Valley Shooting Complex on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 8am to noon at range 5A.
