Access to the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center will be unavailable from Michigan Bar road which is the turn off from Twin Cities road (Highway 104) starting May 1st through an estimated end time of October.
The entire project will include replacing the existing bridge at Buckeye Creek with a single span precast concrete girder bridge and replacing the existing bridge at Willow Creek with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete bridge. Both bridges will be fitted with ‘see-through’ guardrails and have an expanded width to accommodate future bike lanes. Some preliminary work may start earlier, but detours will not be in place until the major project work begins. Access for property owners, residents and businesses will be allowed from Ione road off the Highway 16 side and Meiss road. Detour signs and electronic message boards will be in place prior to the closure.
